I got my nexus 7 about 4-5 weeks ago.... how long is my 25 dollar credit valid???
I bought from the goo store....... how do you access you free 25$ does it just come out when you use the google store checkout???

Its valid for ever.

just click the app you want to buy-->click buy-->[you will have option here which display your credit card and the play store credit]
try it out with an app. unless you click buy it wont buy.

It's actually not valid forever. It expires on June 30, 2013 according to a link from Google. Let me see if I can find it.

Correct. There is an expiry date of July 30, 2013.

You have more than 11 months to use up the $25 credit. That's more than enough time. Now get to shopping.

Note that this credit can only be used to make purchases on its own - it cannot supplement, or be supplemented by, other forms of payment for a purchase. I.e., if you have $2.94 credit left, it can only be used to purchase something that costs $2.94 or less.
