Why doesn't the Nexus 7 support landscape mode in a web browser?
I want to view many apps in landscape mode. Every Droid phone I've ever had (I'm on my fifth, a Razr Maxx) has done this automatically when I turned the device sideways, as does my old (cracked screen and replaced by the Nexus but still working) Sony tablet. I want to view iMap Weather in landscape mode! I want to view web pages and emails in landscape mode! What's wrong with Google in not realizing this?

It does, you just have to enable it.
Settings -> Accessibility -> Auto-rotate screen
It does not, however, rotate the home screens. For that you need an app or custom launcher. I use Ultimate Rotation Control, but I think there are some free options out there. - 09-26-2012, 10:35 AM
