Default Should I be concerned about this?

I purchased my Nexus 7 two weeks ago on Sunday and I've hot been having any problems. Until today, I downloaded Riptide GP and three times while I'm playing it my screen turns off and I have to press the power/lock button to wake the screen.
This doesn't seem like something that should be happening in the middle of a game, is it just me, and should I be concerned ?

Is it only happening when you play said game? If so then it's most likely the app that is causing the problem not your n7. I would not start worrying unless it starts happening on other applications as well

It also could be in your power saver for apps. I have this when I tried to play on radio app. Go into the app power saver and remove it from the list.

Nope. one of the above three replies could be the reason for such behavior.

Its your screen timeout settings. The game mentions that if you don't touch the screen it might turn off mid race since it uses the accelerometer for gameplay. Just adjust the timeout in settings so you have a little more time.

You can also use an app like Tasker or Llama to automatically set your screen to not turn off when using certain apps.

Thank you all so much, I changed the settings that you suggested and it hasn't happened again.
