Re: Nexus7 keep rebooting after updated to 4.2
Same thing is happening here, dont know what it is, I'm running Android 4.2 Stock, rooted and unlocked. My nexus 7 keeps rebooting at 42 %. When it shuts-off I immediately connected the tablet to its charger and it brings me the white battery icon. So I power back up the tablet and it shows 42% but as soon I disconnect it from the charger, like a minute later it just shuts off again. I been on Paranoid android rom for weeks and never had this problem. Anyone know what might be the problem?

Re: Nexus7 keep rebooting after updated to 4.2
hmm i am actually from HK. so i called Asus HK, they just asked me to do another hard reset.
it will rebook after several steps.
think will have to bring the tab to their repair centre to check.
Anyone might know what was the problem?
Thanks.

Re: Nexus7 keep rebooting after updated to 4.2
I don't know the cause of the problem, but a similar thing happens to me. Most of the time I'd be on YouTube and it just freezes and reboots. Recently, when it reboots, I would hear these noises coming from the inside. Is my Nexus 7 dying?

Re: Nexus7 keep rebooting after updated to 4.2
I had that problem and found that if I took the tablet out of the after-market iBlason cover (with magnet) that the reset problem went away. Still have the auto brightness over sensitive flickering issue, but the resets stopped. When I put the cover back on the reset problem begins again. Very annoying.

Re: Nexus7 keep rebooting after updated to 4.2
okay, so i did another hard reset.
finally it is working properly...at home.
But once i get back to office, it keeps rebooting itself again.
after a few testing, it seems it was the wifi from my office causing the reboot. it is normal again when i switch off the wifi / or connect to my pocket wifi.
any idea how could that be?
Thanks! - 11-22-2012, 11:49 PM #10
Re: Nexus7 keep rebooting after updated to 4.2
Wow, very strange - WiFi goblins! Before taking it back to the office (which in my imagination is in one of those really cool downtown Hong Kong skyscrapers), go to the WiFi settings and tell the N7 to forget that network. Long press on that network, then choose "Forget network". Then when you take it to the office again, set it up one more time. There are also advanced options available when entering the password (check the advanced settings box). This brings up the proxy settings and IP settings options. Maybe changing these settings will make a difference. Maybe not! Just a thought. Otherwise, maybe ask the IT people at your office (if any) for their ideas.
