    Default Will updating to 4.2 cause me to lose root?

    Been trying to look around but cant find an answer. I'm on 4.1.2 rooted ob my nexus 7 will doing thw OTA from google erase my root?

    Root will still be there - the OS won't get by w/o it.

    It will whack your access to root though. At least until you jump through the hoops again.

    Root the same way you did before.

    Or

    Install first, use it to backup your root access and to restore it after the OTA.
