    Default Charging overnight...

Twice now i've left my Nexus charging overnight, next to my bed, and both times i've woken up because of a very feint noise (i'm a very light sleeper) soon as I removed the USB cable the noise stopped..has anyone else encountered this ?
I wont be charging overnight anymore but whats the general consensus about this ? is overnight charging considered bad for the device?

Chargers have been known to make noise before. If it bothers you I would suggest charging in another room.

If you have an iPhone wall charger block, try that. I used to get a high pitched noise from my Samsung Charging block. I threw it away to avoid potential damage.

Overnight charging is fine, it's what I do. Is this with the charger and cord that came with the N7, or a different one? I would start by trying a different charger, even if it was the original.

I only once had noise. It was a really odd noise coming from the Nexus though. The speakers. I think it froze. I had to hard reset it. I charge my Nexus with whatever connection I can find. iPhone, Nexus, Computer, playbook end piece, etc.

I don't give a fack. They all work.

I used the 'proper' charger, the thing is it doesn't make any noise when first plugged...only in the middle after being charged for a few hours....stupid f***king thing.

Most do, that is true, but not all chargers are made equal. Some put out less power, and some are made better than others. Thus my #1 recommendation is to try a different charger.

My nexus 7 does the same thing. It happens when I charge my nexus from completely dead.

There's a crackling noise from the speakers for 5 minutes then it goes away.

I also have charging issues with stock charger and cable, my nexus sometimes recognises USB rather then AC when plugged into the wall socket so charges really slowly.
