Re: Still no 4.2.1
Updates are generally spread over 2-3 days. The first of us got the update about 2 days ago, so while you're on the late end of the spectrum, it's not been long enough to think you've missed it or something. Time to practice patience.

Re: Still no 4.2.1
Wow.
Having had previous Android tablets that were not Nexus, it is amazing to see people wondering why they don't have an update mere days after it is released.
There are countless other Android tablets that are still on version 3.x and a TON of them still on 4.0.
Having owned a Toshiba and a Samsung tablet, both VERY slow to receive updates, I guess that I am still a bit surprised to see updates come faster than months after release.
That said, my Nexus already got 4.2.1. Yeah, it rocks. - 12-01-2012, 07:25 AM #11

Re: Still no 4.2.1
Recently (2 days ago) bought the Nexus 7, which came running 4.1.2.
In the 5 days since purchase I've been offered twice to install the update to Jelly Bean 4.2, and both times I've accepted. The phone reboots, I get the big green android, the it turns into a fallen over android with a red ! triangle coming out of its body.
After about 30 seconds it starts up again but remains on android 4.1.2 (I.e, not updated) and when I try to run the update, says there is no update available...
Any suggestions what's happening here?
Thanks in advance :-) - 12-01-2012, 03:21 PM #15
Re: Still no 4.2.1
Do this to get the update right now, it might take a few times to make it work but it should eventually. Go to settings>application manager>select all apps by scrolling all the way to the right>scroll down to Google Services Framework>then clear data and force stop>back out and go to system update>and select update firmware and Samsung software it should say last update was in 1969. If it doesn't work the first time keep doing it. It worked the third try for me when I pushed 4.2 and worked the first time when I pushed 4.2.1
