    Default OS version

    Hello all,

Does the Nexus 7 run Android 4.1 or 4.2? Just curious. The Google play store lists it as 4.1 although the Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 run 4.2. Can someone clarify please?

It runs 4.2. It is provided via OTA and thus not packaged with 4.2 like the others. Hence the difference between the devices.

Currently 4.2.1, and is consistently among the first to get new updates for Android. That's the beauty of a Nexus device.
