Is it possible to customize the pulldown menu (swipe down on the right end of the notification bar) for quick settings?
(eg rearrange the small squires; add/remove/change the settings)

Not with stock Jellybean.
I would recommend an app like Power Toggles, which let's you add a variety of controls to the home screens as widgets, and to the standard notification drop down screen. Here's an example of how I have mine set up.

So its safe to say you need CM 10.1 to customize the toggles? There is nothing I can flash via CWM to get this functionality?

Thats cool. An hour after I posted that I installed CM 10.1, for a number of other features as well. I was already rooted.
Plus the notification of "4.2.2 is ready to be installed" was not going away :)
