I just got a 32gb Nexus 7 and I really want to use it for school. Where or what app can I get eTextbooks from? I would still like the functions that the Google book reader has like highlighting and taking small notes in the book. Knowing how much college textbooks are, I also wouldn’t mind finding an app or way to get them for a good price. Could anyone tell me an app or way to get eTextbooks onto my Nexus 7?

How about Amazon Kindle? Just rent the Kindle edition; it will expire after the semester/term is over. That's what I did this semester (except on a PC--my N7 ships next week).

That one looks nice thanks, but this would only work if I had a site to download and then put on the reader manually. What website would you recommend? And are there any apps that allow you to rent or buy textbooks on the tablet itself?

Yes. Kindle can Highlight, notes, search book, select word and do dictionary lookup. Also book saves to tablet offline

I second Amazon Kindle, great app, plus if you sign up with Amazon yearly membership, you can get tons of books for free
