    Default Google Maps

It seems that when you change a route, tablet or PC, it keeps the original route as well. It used to take away the original route and only show the changed route which is as it should be.

Is this just me missing something or did they just break it?

I'm confused, what do you mean by "change a route"?

Sorry for not being very clear on my question.

If you map directions from your home to town X, you have the option of putting your mouse at any point along the route and drag it to a different route. It used to then establish the new route to town X. This was very useful if you wanted to change your route slightly to perhaps drive through a close town to have a look.

It now seems to go to town X but then takes you back to your original route even though it is no longer the shortest route and most times, quite a bit longer.

    Hope that explains it better.
