Nexus 7 behaving very strangely
My new nexus 7 freezes at random times for no apparent reason, and sometimes randomly starts switching screens on me. It's like it's possessed. I have lookout and trustgo security installed and they both say the device is clean. Can anybody tell me what's wrong with this thing? It's frustrating

Re: Nexus 7 behaving very strangely
I assume you've tried rebooting?
Might not be a good idea to have 2 different security apps running. Just as with a desktop, they could interfere with each other and with the system.

Re: Nexus 7 behaving very strangely
Strange, but I've had my N7 for a while, and while I have never experienced one problem it, the same exact thing happed to me a few days ago! It just kept on going from screen to screen and then it would launch apps on its own, like it was being controlled by someone in another world....lol. I just managed to reboot it, and everything has been fine since.

Re: Nexus 7 behaving very strangely
try disabling the background sync on Google Currents application. There is a known issue where that causes the device to slow down.

Re: Nexus 7 behaving very strangely
I've tried everything and the tablet is behaving even worse now. Constant freezes, it types letters and numbers by itself, it opens and closes apps rapidly in front of my eyes. It's like it's possessed. What should I do? Return it? Desperately need some advice, guys. Thanks.

Re: Nexus 7 behaving very strangely
sounds like the digitizer might be getting interfered with, do you have a case on it or get it wet?

Re: Nexus 7 behaving very strangely
It sounds like your options are:
1. Factory reset and see if the problem resolves.
2. If it doesn't, return/exchange it if you still can, or try to get it fixed under warranty.
3. Find that diminutive lady from Poltergeist to perform an exorcism. - 01-08-2013, 09:38 AM

Re: Nexus 7 behaving very strangely
I also am having the freezing issue. I can't imagine it's the cause, but did install a screen protector recently. Anyone else do the same soon before the issues started?
