Ok so I'm looking at getting the nexus 7 as an extra tablet and something I can customize....I have an ipad 4 retina and the lack of a jailbreaking is annoying me....so is this worth buying?

in fact the question you asked itself is an answer that its worth buying. customization, with total freedom to root and for $200 its totally worth it

For now, global buyers will have to take Google's word, issued last month, which pledged of normal shipping for the Nexus 4 beginning the initial weeks (or months) of 2013.
