Sluggish Nexus 7. Downgrade to Android 4.1?
The easiest way to describe how my Nexus 7 works is that it works like Windows xp, sluggish, crashing sometimes, etc. What should I do? Android 4.1 seemed fine. Would it be useful or even possible to downgrade?

Thanks for the link. Is 4.2 km known to be sluggish? Or is it just my device that's become sluggish?

I don't experience any sluggishness with 4.2.1. Things to try include:
1. Reboot.
2. Install an app that can monitor CPU usage by apps to see if anything is misbehaving.
3. If you use Google Currents, uninstall it or change its refresh schedule to manual.
4. While you're at it, change all apps that can automatically refresh to manual (like Facebook or news apps like Pulse).
5. Last resort--do a factory data reset.

things I would do in addition to B. Diddy's list
Run a cache and history cleaner like History Eraser
Uninstall suspect or newly installed or updated apps as B.Diddy mentioned <--- this is what is likely to be your problem.
