    Default google music

i was planning on adding some songs into my nexus 7, but when i open google music i found over several hundred songs from unknown artist. i checked the music folder and cant find them there. i tried clearing the data under settings and they're still there. Does anyone know what the song files are and how do i delete all of them instead of do it one by one

google treats it's customers special and renames your downloaded files with random alphanumerics and stashes them in wierd folder(s) like
    /sdcard/Android/data/com.google.android.music/files/
so that nobody can possibly use them elsewhere or by another app - just kidding mostly but there is some truth there.

You might be able to dowload the files with actual names and .mp3 extensions from google but I won't put up with such stuffs and buy elsewhere and then xfer them to my N7 and allow google player to find them. Someone will probably tell you how I suspect....

I think there is a google music manager of some sort too that might help or you can punt and use a File Manager like ES File Manager to clean em out but that might break things...

Are they actually songs, or are they sound files? Google Music has difficulty distinguishing a sound file that an app might use from an actual song, so if you have a bunch of apps that use a lot of different sound files (like notifications or ringtones), they'll show up in Google Music on your device (but not on your desktop browser).

Hi, I have an enquiry about the music on my Nexus 7.

I have uploaded all my itunes music to Google Play (10,000+ songs), I have synced my nexus 7 to it, but there doesn't seem to be proper organisation when looking for tracks, for instance if I search Fleetwood Mac albums they come up, say 'greatestr hits' so when I tap on it, I get 'greatest hits' of all the greatest hits albums in my collection of all different artists, not just Fleetwood Mac greatest his which is what I want, am I missing some settings or is this just a result because it has been organised by itunes?
