Nexus dies at 48%
I am having battery problems with my Nexus 7. One day while I was using it it just died all of a sudden. The battery wasn't even low, it was at 48%. I thought it might have been a bug or something so I plugged in the charger and waited for a while. The screen just flickers and nothing happens. Finally it turned on but when it did it died again. The only thing that worked was pressing the power and volume down buttons and restarting it from that screen. It has happened multiple times now that my Nexus 7 dies at 48%, no warning or anything, it just dies. Is anyone else having this issue?

Re: Nexus dies at 48%
I would try checking the battery connection as above. People have reported the connection getting loose.

Re: Nexus dies at 48%
The connection looks fine. I think maybe I just need to replace the battery. Where can I get a new one?

Re: Nexus dies at 48%
Had this same issue, fully charge your device, turn it off over night, and then turn it back on and the percentage should drastically drop, then fully charge and you should be fine

Re: Nexus dies at 48%
I chatted with someone from google yesterday. They said that they had to walk me through a factory reset before they can send me a replacement one. I did what they told me and ended the chat. It worked for two hours and then shut itself off. I would like to chat with them again but I can't find where I started the chat.

Re: Nexus dies at 48%
Back to normal, followed my solution that I had originally posted in this thread. Happy it still works
This time tho, the battery didn't drastically drop when I turned it off after fully charging, then powered on hours later
I actually just ended up fully charging it, taking it off and powered it on 6 hours later, and it was at 100% still, then I played a game, brought it to 98,turned it off, then turned it in again 2 hours later and it was still at 98%,then I just used it normally, and now I'm at 19 percent, meaning I passed my 'auto shutdown marker'
Really wonder what caused this, went months without this issue, then it popped up out of nowhere again
