After upgrading to Android 4.2.2, my Nexus 7 does not show up in Google Play on my PC. I can still install apps through the Nexus 7 itself but not through the PC interface.

I also upgraded my Nexus 10 and it does appear in Google Play on my PC.

Any suggestions on how to recover the device?

i believe to get the update you tried the clear service framework trick. thats the temp side effect of that trick.

open play store-->my apps and then go to system update and check for update. it will rebuild the list and update the play web. be patient it might take an hour or so.

i have done it may time and it has come back every time.

You are correct about the service framework. I did as you suggested and it fixed the problem. The fix took 20-30 minutes before Google Play showed the Nexus 7.
