I was just at a conference this weekend and a presenter was able to show video from his tablet via a projector. Not sure what kind of tablet it was, but got me to thinking.
Is that possible with the Nexus7? Is there an adapter that will plug into the our USB port and send screen video out?

If he had a Blackberry Playbook he could attach the unit to the projector using an HDMI cord if the projector had such an input. The iPad also can do this. Sometimes a converter is required because the projector is only VGA equipped. There are also wireless protocols but only the latest, more expensive projectors would support these. Unfortunately the N7 at least currently stock supports none of the above. The problem is closely related to connecting the tablet to a TV which the N7 doesn't do stock. With rooting?

To actually answer your question, No it is not possible. There is no wired way to get video out on the Nexus 7. It does not have the hardware to support it.
