These are the U.S. MSRP Prices
Nexus 9
16GB - $399
32Gb - $479
New Fire HDX 8.9 Without Special Offers (With Special Offers)
16GB - $394 ($379)
32GB - $444 ($429)
64GB - $494 ($479)
IPad Air
16GB - $399
32GB - $449
IPad Air 2
16GB - $499
64GB - $599
Galaxy Tab S 10.5 (8.4)
16GB - $499 ($399)
32GB - $549 (N/A)
All the other competitors of Google price the jump from 16GB to 32GB at $50. For some of the devices, the MSRP of their base model is $100 more than that of the Nexus 9. And the Nexus 9 has a variety of advantages in performance of other devices that start off at the $399 price point: (1) HDX - Ecosystem; (2) iPad Air - Older model, Ecosystem; (3) Galaxy Tab S 8.4 - Smaller screen.
I personally would have jumped all over a Nexus 9 with 64GB of storage at $499, but have to settle for 32GB at $479.
