Granted, I'm using a 2 port Motorola hub that came with my droid Maxx and a generic cable from Target, but should it really take 10 hours to charge this thing from about 10%? That seems like an awfully long time. There is another chord plugged into the other port, but it hasn't been charging anything. And I can't imagine the plain old OEM charger charges it THAT much faster.

I have one of those chargers--I think its max current is 0.75 A, which is significantly lower than most conventional chargers, which are usually 1.2-1.5 A. I certainly noticed that it would charge my devices much more slowly than their respective OEM chargers, if I brought it on a trip

If you don't have a 2.1 A (2100 mA) charger & a cable that can deliver that ammount you'll suffer exteeeeeended charging times or no charging at all.

I never really pay attention to charging time as I do it at night while I'm asleep so I awake to a freshly charged tablet. I do think my battery life has gotten better after the 5.1.1 update though...
