Is there any word whether or not the Nexus Player will support CEC like the Chromecast?

This allowed the Chromecast to turn on the TV and switch the input as soon as it is sent a cast command from your device.

It's a fantastic feature. Hopefully the Nexus Player will also have this.

It does support it although I have only been able to get it to switch when casting to it. Using the remote doesn't appear to trigger it.

It's probably my biggest gripe I have here as well.

My Samsung TV recognizes the Nexus Player, so I assume there is some sort of CEC service going on, but I haven't gotten my TV to switch inputs (say if I was on the input my cable box is on) like it does with the FireTV when I click the FireTV remote. I haven't thoroughly tested this, so would be curious if others are having success with getting CEC response
