I left mine off the charger last night and from about 11:30-6:30 it dropped from 49% to 47%. I was very impressed with that.

I had similar results. LEft it off overnight from about 12:30 - 8am and it went from like 74% to 71%.

That's awesome and almost Iphone-level standby. Considering all the stuff Android lets run even with doze, that's pretty good IMO.

This is impressive results from the couple who have posted! My last android device was a Galaxy S6 and holy crap it would lose like 10-15% overnight. Now I have the iP7+ and it only loses like 1-2% overnight. I'm glad to see an Android phone is meeting the same standards!

Yep...I went back to the iPhone full-time because of the heavy standby drain of my Samsung phones. It was maddening some days with 15-20% loss sitting in my pocket all morning. Have a Pixel on order and am encouraged about some of the early reports too!

I'm going to leave mine off the charger again tonight to see if I get similar results to last night. I don't see any reason why I shouldn't. Battery life has been excellent so far.

I charged my iPhone to 100% at night and by the morning, it was still at 100%.

I will have to look at percentages tonight, but I think I lost 0 overnight. The line on the battery meter is absolutely flat lined from when I went to bed to when I woke up. Way better than any phone I have owned, ever -- with the possible exception of my 8800 BlackBerry, and that is not a fair comparison.

So I left mine off the charger again last night and had the same results as the night before. It dropped 2%, from 61 to 59 over the 7 hours I was sleeping.

Most phones will remain at 100% longer than any other percentage. I think it has something to do with how the battery reads as full.

What happens if you leave the iPhone off the charger overnight at 90%?

I paid attention last night.. It was at 94% when I went to bed and still 94% now when I woke up.

That's incredible! I'm impressed. I haven't tried my phone yet, but I might tonight or tomorrow night, depending on my schedule.

The main thing holding me back is my AW watch. I keep my watch connected 24/7, so I might not get an accurate reading on standby time for the Pixel XL.
