Pixel XL Assistant Help

When I first got my pixel in the upper left corner there is a google button that you could swipe right and it would open the Google assistant app. Somehow I was able to turn that off and I have been thru 3 support people and they don't seem to know what I am talking about. Anyone got a clue as to what I did?

I believe that is Google search. For Google Assistant you hold down the home button. If I'm wrong please correct me.

Ok so search does it work the way I described on your phone?

Yeah you hit the G and search comes up. I would use the support that is in settings so they can see what your screen looks like

So I figured this out with the built in supports help. Long Press on the home screen until the apps/widgets appear, in that windows press on the settings button then turn on or off, Show Google App.
