I noticed today that when I put the phone on my magnetic car phone holder, it's messing up the GPS signal. When I put it on another car holder that's not magnetic, it had no problem. Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Firstly, is it messing with the GPS, or with the internal compass?

They are two different things and you need to ensure that you know which is the issue - probably the compass because it relies on magnetic fields (minuscule ones at that...).

I suggest you download this https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...ils?id=com.eclipsim.gpsstatus2&token=-3HpOG2e (it's free) and test your GPS response first outdoors but not in your car, and then again in your car using the magnetic mount. If you get good GPS results in both cases, well, then, you've learned something important.

Not sure, but I used the same holder with 6p and iPhone with no problem
