NFL Mobile video & on screen buttons

Is there a way to make the on screen buttons go away so that the video takes up the entire screen? This only seems to be a problem with NFL Mobile. On other video apps, the buttons will automatically disappear and the video takes up the entire screen. Is this a bug that we can't do anything about? Thanks.

It does the same thing on the 6P with the Verizon NFL Mobile app... so I'm guessing this is not a bug... maybe an oversight on the developers part?
