Sent a screen shot by SMS, but don't see it in msgs

Took a screen shot, clicked on it when it came up in notification bar. Clicked share icon, shared to Contact.... Cannot see it in my msgs

Well, I do it this way take the screenshot ( the same method with photos ) then go to Google Photos check the screenshot and select your SMS app( Google Messenger or a third party SMS app, I use Yaata SMS paid version cause you can get sound and lead notifications from the app in your Pixel phone. ) Then select the person to receive the text with the screenshot and press send.
