Would a pixel bought from USA work OK here?

Would really love a blue one but cannot get here and just wondered if my friend from USA managed to get me sim free one, would I have problems getting it to work properply in uk? Thanks

No, your Pixel will work fine using it anywhere (unlocked). But I guess the bandwidth will vary in U.K as compared with USA but that won't be an issue. All you need to do is tell your friend to purchase it from Google or any authorized carrier/reseller etc. Hope my suggestion will be helpful

Thanks a lot..do you think I might get away without pay duty tax if they open box? Thinking they could mark as a gift and value much lower? Otherwise duty is a lot

Yeah! duty taxes are the responsibility of the receiver and you need to pay for that as it is the tax imposed on the transference of the product. I guess the value depends on from where it is sent from or what type of product it is or may be its weight. So I guess you won't have to pay hefty bucks for the pixel but only a small amount!
