Is anyone having to periodically enter their password because their Pixel is not accepting my fingerprint.

    Seems to happen randomly.

Every 3 days it is required, as the phone says for additional security. As far as the sensor itself, mine has been inaccurate maybe 5 to 10 times since I've had the phone since launch. Having wet fingers will cause more failures.

Also, whenever you restart or power on your phone it'll require the password.

Assume you have tried to re-register your fingerprint? Don't just do a perfect fingerprint. Tilt your finger in different directions. Let it get different parts of your print instead of just the middle.

This. I typically only unlock with the index finger on my right hand so what I do is register that finger 2 or 3 times and during each registration process I ensure variation in placement and rotation to allow for randomness in future scans to unlock.

    Yes, I did do that.

Mine works flawless 99% of the time, only has an issue if my finger is wet or dirty. You should try resetting the print.

Also, I don't have to enter mine "every 3 days" like someone said. Only when turning the phone on.

I was amazed at how accurate it is, I use it to turn on my screen every time. I only have problems when my hands are wet or damp. I like that they require a pin also at certain times

If you reboot often then is probably doesn't ask you for the password when unlocking in general. I never reboot so it will periodically ask for additional security, every few days.

For me it's daily, averaging 7 times a day, sometimes back to back each time I grab the phone. Been doing this for about a month now.
    MOST ANNOYING THING!!
This flaw, bug, whatever needs to be addressed. Defeats the purpose of fingerprint security.
Btw I have a Pixel XL

My pixel xl works every time. You might want to reenter your fingerprint but first check out some vids on how to do it. If that doesn't work you might have some faulty hardware.
