When attempting to log in to one of the Cable WiFi Coalition hot spots I always try to choose the SSID from my cable company, Cox.
But when the WiFi Assistant opens a window to log in, one of two things happens, either the window closes very quickly - too quickly to enter my email and password, or instead of getting the Cox login page I get the Xfinity login page. If I choose the Cable WiFi SSID, it again dumps me at the Xfinity login.*
**
Aside from being frustrating, this is costing me data. I'm sure Comcast has something to do with it, because the Xfinity login page offers to sell non-subscribers a day pass for a couple of bucks. But I have to think the WiFi Assistant is at least partly to blame.*
Has anyone else had similar experiences? And what solutions have you come up with?
