This Redditor has a Pixel XL. All kinds of good info is in this AMA. Sample photos, videos showing really good stabilization, other good info. Very promising so far. :-)

Super surprised to see anything up today. Glad to see he said that the XL has sRGB. Now we know both of them do. :)

Yeah and that early SOT was impressive too, but that always takes time to evaluate ..

I was reading it and one reddit person said that Verizon's wifi calling showed up when they popped in a Verizon sim. So does that mean wifi calling does work on the Google Store bought phone or will Verizon be able to change this option when the phone actually comes out.

So if you remember how I was surprised to see this... looks like some other folks were too and deleted it.

The info doesn't seem very useful without the corresponding videos. I wasn't impressed with the SOT one guy screenshotted. Early low light photos look grainy. Ehhh... I need reviews.

Opposite opinion on the pics and SOT. The videos stabilization was great, before it was all deleted. There will be dozens of reviews within a week to view, I am sure

There was a lot of noise in the low light Pixel XL shots that wouldn't have been there with my Note 5 camera. It seems like they chose to allow low light shots to have a lot of graininess so they could be a big sharper over being marginally softer with no/lower noise. In the SOT screenshot I saw, it looked like the Pixel XL gets about an hour per 20% of battery life. If that's the case, that is pretty weak.

I can't see it either. Which video was it, the stabilization one? He posted 5 or 6 videos in that AMA
It was the one where he walks down the stairs, the vimeo videos were still working last night. Looks like they got pulled too.

I would have loved to see the EIS demonstration video, but probably not enough to sign up for Vimeo. Appreciate the effort though!

What a shame, I was looking forward to the hands on.

Much of the AMA was pretty great. The photos looked great, the video and the stabilization looked great. He answered questions and posted videos and pics to a Google Drive folder (also now empty) with screenshots of various things, Benchmarks (which I care exactly zero about), video of him working with the Google Assistant, confirming the LED light, comparisons to the 6P, and more. Oh well, there will be lots more coming soon I would think :-)
