Why am I no longer able to download or update on google play on my s

I'm using a S4 through Sprint. Model sphl720. Not rooted. Kit kat 4.4.2. About 3-4 weeks ago google play won't download apps, new or previously installed and uninstalled. I can't get any apps to update either. I can download movies from google play though.
I just finally let them try to download for over an hour and finally got some error numbers. They were all different.
I can download pictures and videos off of my browsers just fine
I have tried so many things I picked up from forums. My downloader is on. I've cleared data and cache and even uninstalled google play. I had to reinstall as an apk. I've been in 3G 4G and wifi. Nothing. While in wifi I couldn't get anything. Not even my email. Short of factory reset, I've run out of ideas and used up all the ones I read about.

Do a web search for the error numbers you get and you'll find posts on different sites (including Google's) explaining what to do about them (or explaining that there's nothing you can do, or that the error number isn't one that anyone has any information about).
