Why is my husband's Samsung Galaxy Epic 4g able to access the Play Store?

my husband is trying to gradually get use to a smart phone so i got him the simplest smart phone I could find. It is the samsumg galaxy epic with slide out keyboard. It will not let him access the play store. says it is no longer available on this sight to go to another, but when you click on that link it gives you an error message.

I've seen this problem before, as reported here a while back. No solution was found. What I recommend is that you contact the support center for that device, and or your carrier where you purchased it from. They would better fit to assist with that issue.
