Brett Stevens - WHAT'S IT LOOK LIKE??? is it like in the leaked vids?
4:57 PM

Jacob Epstein - not as drastically curved but super thin! thinner than iphone 4s
4:58 PM

Brett Stevens - I'm guessing ICS is fast as hell / super sexy?
4:59 PM

Jacob Epstein - sooooo awesome! it is blue like the leaked pics is smooth as hell

5:01 PM

Brett Stevens - did he speedtest it? Verizon or AT&T LTE???
5:05 PM

Jacob Epstein - Verizon, about 25mbps down and 10 up
5:06 PM

Brett Stevens - DAMN....... That's faster than my Comcast landline!
5:06 PM

Jacob Epstein - lol same! got any ICS ?'s
5:07 PM

Andrew Evans - Is that what it's going to be called?
5:10 PM

Jacob Epstein - unless google/verizon/samsung makes a last minute name change, which is possible he said then yes
5:11 PM

Rai Diaz - Will it have dual core support?
5:27 PM

Brett Stevens - it is dual core... TI OMAP4
5:28 PM

daniel walsh - awesome. Can't wait. Did he tell release date?
5:30 PM - Edit

Rai Diaz - @Brett Stevens I know it has a dual core processor. What I meant was will ICS have dual core optimization?
5:33 PM

daniel walsh - yes
5:34 PM - Edit

Brett Stevens - most likely, if it doesn't have it or GPU hardware acceleration I'll be surprised...
5:34 PM

daniel walsh - i think ics and the galaxy nexus are amazing. +Jacob Epstein How were liking the hardware?
5:56 PM (edited) - Edit

Jacob Epstein - no release date guys, and yes ics is optimized for dual core. it does have a dual core, TI Omap
6:06 PM

Tarick Goldarr Arnold - +Jacob Epstein How do you think ICS will fair against iOS5? I'm wondering because I have a few friends considering switching to Android.
6:12 PM

Jacob Epstein - +Tarick Goldarr Arnold so much more smooth and intuitive, also google's widgets look really nice
6:14 PM

Mike DePaul - Can someone point me to documentation on android not being optimized for dual core? I mentioned that rumor to +Romain Guy tom once on twitter and he didn't know start I was talking about. As far as I know the dvm was not fully optimized, but you are not likely to even notice the changes.
6:15 PM

Jacob Epstein - +Mike DePaul ics has much better hardware acceleration
6:16 PM

Jacob Epstein - for the software
6:16 PM

Mike DePaul - know start even know
6:17 PM

daniel walsh - Dual core 1.5 ghz. Awesome, can't wait
6:19 PM - Edit

Jacob Epstein - yep 1.5 ghz dual core TI omap
6:19 PM

daniel walsh - The processor might be underclocked to 1.2. Is it metal or great plastic?
6:21 PM - Edit

Lemuel Cantos - What about SD card. does it have a card slot?
6:25 PM

Jacob Epstein - CRAP i didn't check :-/
6:27 PM

Jacob Epstein - but 1900 mah battery i think
6:27 PM

Mike DePaul - +Jacob Epstein hardware acceleration is great, but does that change how two cores are accessed? That will help a single core as much as dual our quad, no?
6:28 PM

Jacob Epstein - +Mike DePaul ok i'm not sure now that confused me?
6:30 PM

daniel walsh - Large battery. It's probably plastic
6:33 PM - Edit

Jacob Epstein - it has a samsung plastic outside but it doesn't feel that way in hand
6:34 PM

Lemuel Cantos - Samsung really loves plastic don't they? :D
6:37 PM

Jacob Epstein - this plastic feels awesome though, like futuristic an stuff
6:37 PM +1

Mike DePaul - nevermind I don't want to hijack your thread
6:40 PM +1

daniel walsh - Awesome. Cool and great plastic
6:41 PM - Edit

Lemuel Cantos - But sometimes I just wish they would put in just a little bit of metal, just to say it's not all plastic :p
6:42 PM +1

Brady Duran - Do you know what camera it has?
6:43 PM

Jacob Epstein - +Lemuel Cantos he said there was metal in the phone to improve stability or something +daniel walsh absolutely +Mike DePaul thanks :)
6:43 PM +1

Jacob Epstein - +Brady Duran same as gs2 i think, 8mp
6:44 PM

daniel walsh - +Jacob Epstein any surprises in ics?
6:47 PM - Edit

Lemuel Cantos - Awsome!
6:48 PM

Jacob Epstein - +daniel walsh not much we don't already know, there is optimization for the OS to use 2 cores which rocks, and the launcher is great, multitasking is just like honeycomb too

Can you tell us more how the on screen buttons work? When They are visible and not and can we hide them? And what about the search bar is it always present?

the screen is 4.6 and the bottom part is used for soft buttons. the search bar is only visible on the homescreen. the phone automatically hide them when you enter an app and you can hit the bottom part of the phone to bring them up again.

Does it feel any bigger than the 4.3 or 4.5 phones out now or is the shell/case same size as them? Thanks for the other reply

Actually it's still there, just search for Jacob Epstein on Google Plus...he has an android profile picture.

Jacob, thanks for all the tidbits and first impressions!

Yeah, I found him but the only posts are from a few months back.

....unless it wasn't public, of course. My bad!
