1) Competitive specs. While the spec sheet may not be as impressive as many of us were hoping for, it is still competitive with any phone on the market now (and being released in the near future).

2) Best display. The Galaxy Nexus will almost certainly have the best display on the market. A 720p OLED screen running on Samsung's sAMOLED technology will be very impressive.

3) Stock Android. Not having to deal with a manufacturer's skins and a carrier's bloatware is a big deal.

4) Google-driven updates. You know this phone will be on the cutting edge of receiving updates straight from Google.

5) Camera features. With the inclusion of zero-shutter lag, panorama mode, quick and easy photo/video editing, and instant photo/video sharing, this phone will also make for a top notch camera.

6) NFC support. Very few other phones have it. Google Wallet and Android Beam make this an exceptionally useful feature. Expect more uses coming for this in future updates.

7) Dual-core optimization. That's right...Finally a phone that is able to use a dual-core processor the way they were meant to be used.

8) Face unlocking. It's just cool. Drive iPhone uses crazy with envy.

9) Roboto. Something as simple as a new typeface may be easily overlooked. But this style of sans-serif typeface could be just what the doctor ordered for maximum readability on a mobile screen.

10) Major UI enhancements. With ICS, the UI will be much more elegant and quicker to use. It will be more efficient for you to be able to do what you want to do. And since this UI will be running on a phone that is near the top in performance, it will be that much better.

You only listed like 4 actual reasons. The other 6 are ICS benefits which will be into other phones (including older phones) by January through updates or roms.

That may be true, but the Nexus will get them first. That means a lot with the rate at which tech advances.
