Android Beam

So has anyone else done a legitmate beam with their phone yet? I was at a rehearsal dinner for my brother's wedding and I beamed the address of the reception hall to another galaxy nexus user.

Yeah, it works well... not very pratical though. It takes longer than it should.

ive used twice now and it was near instantaneous. Place phones together, they vibrate, tap screen and done.

I was at a meet up with some other tech heads a week or so ago and was able to swap contact details with another guy who also had the nexus.

I can't get it to work. I've got NFC and Android beam turned on on both phones, put them back to back, get a little vibration and sound, and then...nothing.

My buddy from the office and I beam each other directions to happy hour every week just to make our iPhone friends jealous. I also make a point to go to CVS after lunch...

OK, I finally got it to work, beamed a couple of contacts and a map, worked fine. What was not working was beaming pictures from the Gallery. Is that possible? Are only some things beamable?
