Rom issues

Hi everybody, I'm new to this android thing so please forgive me if I say some foolish things !

After a lot of trying I finally rooted my GN, I put a costume rom of Open Kang Projects Magoro build 12 on it, now my GN does work faster but the battery drains also faster and I have some SERIEUS issues with my mobile network, I can call and text but the Internet is horrible? I remember that when I was home on my previous Blackberry I always had 3G network, now on the costume rom it shows H and when I try to connect to the internet it only works often.. I live in Belgium and I own a GSM version but I did instal a GSM rom..

Could somebody please help me or tell me what that I did wrong? Thx!

Doing a battery stats wipe may help your battery life some. It is generally good practice to do after installing a custom ROM.

Your battery life may be worse due to the issues you are having with the mobile network if your phone is searching for signal. Your phone may be overclocked as well, I don't know the full details of the ROM you installed. CPU Spy can tell you what speeds are used for the processor. Normal speed (at most) is 1200 mHz.

Under FAQ in the thread for your ROM it shows something about random data drops to update the modem. I am not sure how to do this, but you may find something in here

I'll try the battery thing you posted me, I also Installed a new ROM and for the moment my network DOES work!

No problem, glad to hear you got everything working properly. Hopefully your battery life will improve as well, if not there are many tips on this site to help improve it.

I found out that a costum rom effects my DATA internet, so I've put it back to the fabrique settings..

Anyway.. The phone needs some mayor updates..
