Updates. How many can you really expect?
Like many here, I love the idea of my device getting updated.
But I've noticed a trend and Im simply wondering if it's just me. But doesnt it seem as though most phones that launch with one version of the OS only get one MAJOR update and that's it?
Even the Nexus line, from it's brief history, seems to be only insure maybe two big updates and that's it.
Is it me, or does that seem strangely odd??? - 03-02-2012, 10:06 PM #2

Re: Updates. How many can you really expect?
You'll get software updates of all sizes up to the point when the hardware can't support it.
We'll get some maintenance fixes and minor updates to ICS, then we'll get the J version, and some maintenance updates. Depending on the rate of progress/demand of Android, we'll get the K version too.LG Nexus 4 // T-Mobile - 03-03-2012, 02:43 PM #4

I thought the Nexus 1 launched with 2.1 and has since been updated straight to 2.3.6

I doubt that the Nexus will get more than one major update. But maybe they'll surprise me.
