that's a great deal and a power move for google, since new upgrade price phones will eventually reach 300, plus 36 upgrade fee that puts it over 350 with tax which this price will beat that.

This was the clincher. I debated between the Nexus for $400 or the S3 for $550. Had to get Nexus when the difference became $200.

Plus Jelly Bean w/ no TW helped a little.

Luckily I was still within 15 days of my purchase so I was able to get a refund for the difference. Now I'm going to use that towards a Nexus 7 and maybe another Galaxy Nexus.

did you have to contact them about it or did they just credit your account without contact?

You have to call the Google number and you will get an rep...tell them you are within 15 days, then they will send you an e-mail to fill out. Once you receive it, it will take like 2 minutes to fill out. It ask for you order number, description and stuff like that. Weird looking form.

I'm bummed Google doesn't ship these things sooner. I bough at noon PST yesterday and it still hasn't shipped. Would be cool if they could ship same day instead of 2 days processing. I don't want to wait til Monday to receive it!

Was just about to come in here to see if anyone had received shipment info yet. Obviously not.

just got off the phone with the Google rep. he said it takes two business days for order processing in some cases may take up to three days... and another 2 days for shipping, he advised me to keep an eye on my email for the UPS tracking number.
i guess they might be a bit overwhelmed with orders....

It's a great phone. I'm glad I'm going back to it. I had sold mine for the S3 but had a big change of heart. Miss this thing.

No. Thanks for mentioning it. I would like to get another Android device. I'm using a Samsung DROID Charge running Eclipse. I'm waiting to see what the acquisition of Motorola by Google brings. It should be interesting.

i've been thinking guys, if the Nexus tablet being sold for $199 and Google has zero profit off the actual device but for the content only, then maybe the next nexus phone will be priced around $400 that would be awesome. Nexus tablet is packed with the latest powerful hardware (sans the back camera) and yet the price is so low. this is how much consumer electornics should cost! not like some companies that sell them for premium prices..

Was thinking the same thing about an hour or so ago. $400 price point will light things on fire and will make a huge splash for the next one. Here's to hoping.

What are the chance we get our phones on the early delivery date? The phone's coming from Kentucky. Im in VA by the way.

Wow, me too! Mines in Kentucky now. We must have gotten the e-mail around the same time.

is that what it says for you? strange... mine says scheduled delivery Friday 29 by end of day. UPS is usually pretty accurate with deliveries...
