Anybody got shipping notice from Google

Called customer service to know more about the order....oh my freakin god...was on hold for 1hr....lost patience and hung up. Doesn't matter when it comes as long as it comes.
Hate using my broke 3gs till then since i sold my SGS2 a week ago

checked my wallet this morning, showed a tracking number, and now an origin scan in Louisville KY, delivery date of monday

bummer.. was hoping i would get time to setup and get comfy with it over the weekend

Well, I just got off the phone with Google after not receiving any form of tracking today or seeing any activity in my Google Wallet. This time I was told that I was definitely an unusual case and that I was being bumped up to a team of specialists because the guy I was dealing with "just didn't have the tools to find out the problem".

Bottom line, it's not going to be mailed out this week. So, even if I managed to get expedited shipping somehow, it will have been two weeks now since I placed the order. Honestly, I'm just getting ready to cancel my order and write Google off as a bad experience. I don't feel as though I'm being impatient, here. And it's not as though the loss of my order would mean much to anyone but myself. I was really looking forward to trying my first android device.

Mostly because I ordered mine on 07/20 and ii got a shipping notification early this morning. Should be receiving it 07/24...which is my birthday. >.<

This is exactly what I did...

I wouldn't feel impatient. If a company can not provide me with a product when they promise to deliver it, I can go elsewhere.

Well I tried!

I called Google today and told them that I'd like to cancel my order. It's been two weeks since I placed it and I've been in pending ever since. The young lady I spoke to said she'd try. Surprise. Surprise. She was denied in canceling my order. I said, "Well, either ship it or cancel it. It has to be one or the other." She puts me on hold again to talk with her supervisor. Well, it seems that it's been sent to UPS for shipping which is why it couldn't be canceled. Or course, I won't get a tracking number today. It's possible I might not get one tomorrow either. Honestly! This is what she's telling me! There's no email. There's no activity with Google Wallet. I didn't get home from work today in time to call the bank but that's my first port of call tomorrow. As it stands right now I still haven't been charged. This is honestly the biggest load of rubbish I've ever heard.

If it was actually charged, it should ship the same day as the charge. If it's just a pre-authorization charge, often listed as "Pending" on your account, then that means nothing. Pending charges, while they will subtract from your available balance temporarily, are not actual charges but just a check to see if you have the funds to pay for the purchase. Pending charges disappear after a certain numbers of days determined by your bank if they are not converted to a real charge.

If true, that's the first time I've heard of that. I work at a bank. If a credit card is charged, it's either accepted or declined. It only goes to pending if there is available credit. Even for a debit card it will either overdraft or decline. Either way the one charging the account is guaranteed their funds or it won't go through at all.

Reading through this thread makes me skeptical of the Play Store. I'm just hoping it gets here by friday.

Well, I don't know what your position is at the bank, but what I wrote is correct and is quite standard operating procedure and you should be aware of it if you have a banking job. Anyway, I'm still glad I ordered my Nexus despite all the ordering and shipping problems I had.

You can also refer to about a hundred posts in this thread and several others that back up what I am saying. But you don't appear to actually want an answer to your question, so I can only assume you are here trolling. I agree with jpr. Everytime you swipe a credit card the amount you swiped for is authorized by the card provider and stays as pending (amount is deducted from your available balance but it is not posted to your account yet). Once the merchant submits the charge and claims the payment then the amount moves to posted.

** When you fill gas at a gas station most of them only authorize your card for $1.00 even though you fill up for $55. After the charge is submitted $55 is taken off your account.

this is going to sound stupid--but what did the box look like?

outer physical appearance and best-guess of dimensions?

ordered mine and awaiting shipment/delivery to my place of work (i'm in a warehouse) so i want to know what to look for and make sure it doesn't roll past me on the way to the general mailroom

and just like previously mentioned by other posters, El Goog delivers out of nowhere.

bought mine saturday 28th,
received email with shipping confirmation today (Wednesday) the 1st @ 6.45am,
had the Nexus in my hand @ 10.35am via UPS delivery to my work.
G

surprisingly enough, it shipped (via tracking info) 7/31 @ 4.45pm and made it overnight from KY to SC.

so far so good, Google.
