    Default unlocked google nexus

I purchased Google nexus, took sim card out of old phone, have used only wifi. Fixing to go on vacation from south la to north Mich, maybe into Canada. Question is can I purchase straight talk sim card, use straight talk on vacation, then put my old sim card back when I return. Reason for doing it is the data plan traveling
    Thanks,

Yup, you can use any service from any GSM provider in the world, just pop the SIM in and go. Beauty of an unlocked phone .

    Thanks,
Thought I understood that correct, but wasn't sure. I love the phone, just an elderly man trying to learn new tricks.
    Thanks again

if i'm not mistaken, your SIm card becomes de-activated after X amount of days of in-active service, so take care to ensure it's still valid upon your return or else you'll need a new one. Check the Terms of Service with whatever provider you have.

He said he took the card out of his old phone. I don't see that getting deactivated from lack of use. I have gone weeks without using my phone while on vacation.
