    Default Galaxy Nexus buying query

Hi all, I want to buy a Galaxy Nexus device. The only problem is it's not available in my country. So i won't be able to avail any warranty on it. So my question is it a good choice to buy GNex without warranty?
Also among Xperia P, GNex what would be the best choice? Also can you suggest any other good phones within ~$400

    Thanks

@still1 : It's available on ebay India(i am from India), and it would cost me around $420 for the GSM version. I wanted to know whether buying it without warranty is good as warranty wouldn't be valid in my country.

The cost of GSM in the US is about $400 so the cost look the same in India.

I am not sure how the warrenty works in India. If possible try getting a third party warranty.

If the rumor is "released in 30 days", than at best that means "announced in 30 days", who knows when it would be released! lol

But I agree, if you're thinking GNex and aren't in a big hurry, I'd wait a month or two and see what's announced and what the release dates are. If you do need a phone sooner, the GNex running Android 4.1 (JellyBean) is quite fast and smooth. If you're not a hardware junkie like a lot of us are, then it would suit you easily for another year or more.

Additionally, I wouldn't count on the G-Nex's successor selling for $349 at launch. More like $600+ would be a more realistic expectation.

    Default Galaxy Nexus buying query

I'm looking into buying a Galaxy Nexus, but it looks like it's not available from Google Store for me. I'm in Canada. What the hell, Google?

Just to confirm, is it really at $350 USD for a new device on Google Store for US residents? I heard someone comment on a podcast that the price had dropped.

Google only sells directly to the US from the Play Store for those hardware devices. Stinks, but that's kinda how it is right now. They just haven't made the appropriate deals to sell worldwide. Hopefully that'll change soon.

Yes, it's $350 USD for the Galaxy nexus. It was $399 when first launched (few months ago) and dropped right around Google I/O to $349.

Luckily the unlocked GSM model has pretty much been on sale since day 1 in Canada (unlike the USA) and there's a big reseller market that would be happy to sell you a new one for somewhere between $350 and $400.

Yes, it is. $350 + tax and shipping comes to less than $400
