Any way to put 4.2 on VZW Galaxy Nexus?

Custom ROMs is the way to go at this point. If you want an official build then you'll be waiting for a bit...

Knowing Verizon, you should just get a custom ROM

You might want to give the different ROMs a try -- remember to backup a stock/fall-back option just in case you want to restore something stable in between ROMs.
