Nope. The OTA update file is for 4.1.2 to 4.2. You need the following to make it work from 4.0.1: ota update from 4.0.1 to 4.0.2, ota update from 4.0.2 to 4.0.4, ota update from 4.0.4 to 4.1.1, ota update from 4.1.1 to 4.1.2, then you can use the ota 4.2 update. To save time though, you can simply flash the 4.2 imagea

Well, i don't see why it's needed because if coming from 4.0.1 it would automatically download but if you still want them, here are the links

    Thanks pal.

I have a 'special' Galaxy Nexus here that can't seem to receive any OTAs...I'd say that much.

I'm trying to flash to factory default now, but your links are a good reference. Thanks!

Currently I am having 4.0 ICS on my cell phone and I am eager to have 4.2 on my cell phone. Is it possible to update OS from 4.0 to 4.2 OS?

I have Xperia Tipo and need upgrade in same.

I guess your phone is not handled by Google. The best recommendation is to flash stock yakju.

No. Not yet, wait several months for Sony to get you upgraded. And I'd say you'd better not hang around in this forum because it's for GNex, not Tipo. I'm afraid you'll follow irrelevant instructions and kill your phone.
