Battery life
Hey everyone,
So I got my first smartphone yesterday (a Galaxy Nexus). I charged it all evening, and have been using it for about 8 minutes since waking up, and it tells me I am at "95% of battery with 28m 19 s" left. My display is at the minimum brightness, and when I'm done using the phone I put it to sleep.
ANy advise?

Re: Battery life
Congrats on your purchase/gift.
Don't put too much stock into that. The phone won't have had time to accurately guess how much power you will really need based on a few minutes of use. My usage usually includes pretty heavy websurfing, a few calls and music playing with the screen on rather constantly and I will get 7-8 hours of use.
If I calm down a bit and use the phone like regular people, I can easily go overnight without a charge.
TL;DR give it a while to see what your usage really is.

Re: Battery life
In general the battery life on the galaxy nexus isn't all that great, its barely enough for a day of use, also the battery tends to drain very quickly from 100% to the 90% range then it slows down in drain.
