Is there a setting to turn on voice response with Google Now? It use to work but doesn't anymore

Go into your Google now settings and make sure voice output is selected.

You learn something new everyday! Thanks @pontiac005. I've been enjoying GoogleNow since the GalaxyNexus release and I have never, ever heard of GoogleNow's voice (or that it even had one). Good grief!

If that doesn't work, also know that there was an outage (presumably on Google's back end) that had the voice response go out.
