Default NFC Problems with Hyperion 3800mah extended battery

Hi all, Im checking to see if anyone has any insight to my issue.

Problem? NFC is not working on my phone when I use my Hyperion 3800mah extended battery (Which, on the battery, says NFC capable).

How do I know its the Hyperion battery causing the issue? My factory battery allows me to program and read NFC Tags (tagsfordroid).

I am using a Verizon Galaxy Nexus running AOKP 4.2.1. Are there any settings I am missing?

Any help is appreciated, thanks all!

Make sure the NFC option is enabled on the phone.

You can do this by going into Settings, and under "Wireless & Networks" choose "More..." then check "NFC"

If it still does not work, contact the company for the battery and explain your situation, it could be a defective battery.

I contacted Hyperion. They are sending me a new battery, and they advised me that they did not want me to have to go through the trouble of shipping the old one back and to just dispose of it.

Very good customer service from Hyperion!
