Sometimes when I am texting I will get a red triangle with a message saying "message not sent" but when I resend they get it twice. Can someone explainn this to me

What happens is when a message isn't able to be sent... the phone will continue to try to sent it once it makes the data connection necessary. So when you sent that second one you must have made that connection happen and the message got sent twice. Yep...
