I am not using GMail nor Google+; I have a minimal Google account just for my Android devices maintenance.

Lately I received from a friend via email a link to a (public) Google+ photo album.
When I open the link on my Windows PC, the default browser opens and, below a big "Join Google+" banner, all the photos are nicely visible both in thumbnail and slideshow mode.
But when I open the same email on my Android devices (Samsung Tab or S4mini phone), the URL is "hijacked" by the Google+ app, which forces me to accept the terms and conditions of Google+ (and presumably, login with a Google account), which I don't agree with. So I dismiss this screen and there it ends.
Question: is it impossible to view someone else's Google+ photo album on an Android device without being logged in in Google+, like e.g. viewing the album in a standard browser ? Why am I forced to adhere to the terms and conditions of an app (Google+) when viewing public photos from someone else ? Any workaround ?
