    Default Motoactv vs Endomondo

Guys -- The Motoactive device has slightly interested me, but really what advantages does it bring versus using a program like Endomondo on my phone?

Is it worth the ~$250.00 price tag?

It might be good to have for people who don't want to take a chance on dropping their phone during a run. I'm sure there are more pluses.

It looks like you can get a wrist strap for the Motoactv. This might be an advantage over using your phone.

I still use a Polar heart rate monitor while I run even though I'm tracking my run on my Android phone. This is mostly because it's more convenient to see the display on the wrist watch unit, than to have to fool the display on my phone.

This might not make it a big enough advantage if you already have an Android phone, but if you were considering getting a Garmin or Polar device for your exercise, the Motoactv might look pretty attractive.

I think I will stick with endomondo and my phone. Outside I normally only use it while walking the dog with my wife or when I'm riding my bike. When I ride my bike, I have a secure place for my phone so its no big deal.

Lately I've been manually entering my inside workouts just so I have a record of what I've done.

    Thanks!
