NutritionPal is an offline food diary and nutrition tracker I developed to address the problems I had with existing calorie counters. Specifically, I wanted to build composite foods (combinations of ingredients) from a reliable data source (the USDA nutrient database) to track a more complete set of nutritional targets - existing calorie counters I had used were either too inflexible (no recipe creation tools) or too unreliable (primarily user driven content).
Note: NutritionPal does not include a barcode scanner or the type of massive food database you might find in other calorie counters - users primarily interested in tracking calories will likely prefer existing solutions. In any event, I hope some of you find it useful - any feedback would be appreciated
